In 1972, two physicists at Stanford Research Institute sat down with a New York artist named Ingo Swann and asked him to describe the contents of a sealed box. He described them accurately. Then they asked him to describe the far side of the planet Jupiter, in advance of the Pioneer 10 spacecraft's flyby. He described a ring system around Jupiter that science had not yet confirmed. Pioneer 10 confirmed the rings in 1979.
